Charles City County Treasurer and Tax Payments
The Treasurer's Office mission is to serve citizens by delivering an efficient, courteous, confidential, and equitable revenue system. The office collects real estate taxes (due December 5 and June 5), personal property taxes (due December 5), water and sewer bill payments, and revenue from State and Federal Government. Dog licenses and landfill decals are also sold through the Treasurer's Office.
Payment options include cash, check, money order, or credit card (only Visa and Mastercard are accepted in office, with a convenience fee). A drop box is available in the Government Administration building parking lot for check or money order payments only. No cash in the drop box. When paying by mail, at the office, or at the drop box, provide the office portion of the tax statement with your payment.
To pay by credit card online, visit the ACI Payments website and go to the Local Payment Center link. You can also pay by phone through ACI Payments at 833-EZ-TO-PAY (833-398-6729). With either method, use Jurisdiction Code 1081. You will be notified of the convenience fee before confirming payment. A receipt number is provided when payment is confirmed.
